to sit on the maize. The result is
pressure on the international price.
The American maize prices were
at these levels during 2009. the
CBOT maize price was at a level
of $3.0 per bushel on 4 September
2009. The CBOT yellow maize
price increased by $1.42 per bushel until 10 January 2010. This
happened despite the fact that
the dollar remained on the same
level, the crude oil price remained
stable and the yield was adjusted
upwards. It must be borne in
mind that the American
