The more things

South Africa is on Covid alert level 1 , all sectors of business across the country are coming back to life and we are hopeful that the worst is behind us .

26 March will be the anniversary of the President ordering a complete lockdown of the country to begin what would be a long and gruelling fight against a pandemic that sent shockwaves across the world and claimed many lives . A year on , we are still adjusting , still reflecting , still rebuilding and still finding ways to move forward , taking with us the lessons of what we have learned over the past 12 months . One thing that has been evident over this period is the importance of agility in the face of sudden disruptive change .
Harvest time brings with it the promise of rewards for the work put in and the reminder that time , precise planning and faith are a formidable combination .
In this edition of Senwes Scenario we have packaged information on how to plan your harvest season and get the most out of your crops . We feature estimations on what experts say this year ’ s harvest is set to look like and we help you prepare your equipment for the task ahead .
We also give you the latest update on the Nampo Harvest Day and how the pandemic has permanently altered the biggest agricultural event in South Africa .
I am so excited about what the year ahead holds for the agri-sector and I hope we all remember as the tides come , that the only constant in life is change . Embrace it .

God ’ s love is eternal

“ Search me , God , and know my heart ; test me and know my anxious thoughts . See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting .”
PSALM 139:23-24
When you are deep in the hustle of everyday life , it ’ s easy to stop paying attention to what God is doing in the middle of your circumstances . Have you ever found yourself facing a situation at some point in your life , where you having been praying to God about it for a while , working and trying to see a breakthrough , but there was still no visible change seen ?
Often our responses to life ’ s circumstances reveal how we think about God , and how we think God thinks about us . Whether it ’ s falling out with our family , getting a promotion , or being let go from a job you have had for many years , we connect our circumstances here in the world , whether good or bad , to our relationship with God . We allow doubt to set in and start to question whether God sees us or hears our prayers when we experience challenges . We often believe that because of the things we do , or the things we say , or our many imperfections , God turns his back on us , and that is why we suffer .
Easter time comes around each year to debunk these misconceptions . This is a time is of commemoration and remembrance of the vastness of God ’ s love for us .
“ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son , that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life .” – John 3:16
This should be a time of internal reflection in the weeks leading up to Good Friday where we remember than nothing , no circumstance on earth can ever separate us from the love of God . It does not matter what you have done , how you have acted , who you are , or how much you think you have failed , God ’ s love for you in unwavering , relentless , vast , and everlasting . All you need to do to access this healing , nurturing and uplifting love is to believe in him and have absolute faith in his grace and compassion for you .
“ For I am convinced that neither death nor life , neither angels nor principalities , neither the present nor the future , nor any powers , neither height nor depth , nor anything else in all creation , will be able to separate us from the love of God .” - Romans 8:38
Be encouraged and know that even though hard times may come , God ’ s love will always be sufficient and he will never , ever leave us or forsake us .
