When you have to fill large shoes
This month DJ van der Linde appears
on the front page. He is the newly
crowned Free State Agriculture Young
Farmer of the Year where Senwes
was the proud co-sponsor of the Free
State Agriculture Young Farmer Conference. In this edition Bora Monyatsi
is also the new producer we focus
on. In both of these articles of these
two young men you will read how
they must have filled large shoes, and
they’ve done an excellent job thus far.
This month we will celebrate a year of
area focuses, this time the focus is on
Bultfontein. The focus is also on Bultfontein District Agriculture Chairman,
Herman Meiring, a man who really
brings his side when his services are
required, an excellent leader.
Bultfontein is suffering hardship as
a result of the drought at present,
with water shortages as one of the
consequences. Senwes is also making
a contribution as founding partner
of the drought disaster fund and is
playing a pivotal role in being a sustainable part of the solution.
There is no doubt that large shoes
have to be filled, while others are
moving borders in order to establish
the standards for the future.
