IMPORTANT NOTICE
TO CUSTOMERS OF AGRINET AND PRODIST
( Hinterland SA ( Pty ) Ltd t / a Prodist ). As you may be aware , the Competition Tribunal approved the merger ( as defined in section 12 of the Competition Act , 1998 ), between Suidwes Holdings ( Ring-fenced ) ( Pty ) Ltd and the Senwes Group on the 18th of August 2020 . The effective date of the implementation of the merger was the 12th of October 2020 , and subsequently , Agrinet is now part of the Senwes Group .
The Prodist and Agrinet operations
will be incorporated into one structure . With this integration , we look forward to continuing servicing you while adding strength to our existing teams , service levels and product offering . The management team you have learned to know in the last few years will continue to lead Agrinet in this new chapter .
The overarching objective of the structure promises a standalone wholesale business to ensure that we can service our customers to the best of our ability .
SO , WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR CLIENTS ?
You will see very little change relative to your sales and product support . Operational changes will be made in the upcoming months that will enable the new combined business to continue to operate at maximum efficiency . In the coming days , you will be receiving more information to inform you of how this change will benefit your organization . You really will see significant benefits in the following areas : • Increased resources - more staff and an expanded support desk
• Increased expertise ( breadth and depth of staff knowledge ) • Additional sales and customer service resources - overall more bandwidth to provide better customer experience • New product offerings • Increased service levels .
The implementation and integration of the two business operations will take place over the next few months . Please take note of the following arrangements to ensure the minimum disruption over the peak season period :
- The Prodist and Agrinet warehouses will still be fully operational until 15 December 2020 . Orders can be placed at Prodist and Agrinet until 15 December 2020 , on which date all warehouses will be closed to move all remaining stock to the Agrinet warehouses .
- From 4 January 2021 , all customers will be served from Agrinet , and all operational activities will be moved to the Agrinet warehouses .
- The retail business will be serviced from Samrand and Bellville warehouses , and the mechanisation from the Bethlehem warehouse .
