Meet Estelle ‘ Senwes ’

HER NAME IS ACTUALLY ESTELLE HATTINGH , BUT PEOPLE IN WELKOM AND SURROUNDING AREAS KNOW HER AS ESTELLE SENWES .
It is not difficult to understand why - Estelle has been working for this agricultural giant for the past 18 years .
The most difficult task for Estelle is to approach so many different customers from the different areas . Most relationship managers work in one area where most producers experience the same environment and circumstances . However , Estelle works in a number of areas with a number of different producers . Her area runs from Welkom to Allanrige , Lagerskraal , Theunissen and Brandfort and , as she puts it , back to Verkeerdevlei , Winburg , Ventersburg and Hennenman .
It is interesting that Estelle describes her area as the Knersvlakte . “ It is very dry here and we do not have the same yields as in Wesselsbron for example . But , as Estelle tells us in her positive way : “ It brings you closer to nature and you realise that everything is by the grace of God .”
She has always believed that customer service is an absolute priority . “ Without your customers you will achieve nothing . Your internal and external customers are equally important .”
She has her customers ' interests at heart with her extensive experience . She commenced service on a 3-month contract when she filled in for a person on maternity leave in Edenville and , as they say , the rest is history . For the next two years she was a relief clerk at Kroonstad . She was officially a receiving clerk , followed by a position as order clerk at Edenville . She worked at Edenville , Steynsrus and Odendaalsrus for eight years as branch manager , and she has been the relationship manager in Welkom for the past eight years . Estelle has four daughters , Chantelle , Zandrea , Carla and her youngest Telana . She tells about a very difficult time in her life , when Zandrea was involved in a fatal accident two decades ago . However , God blessed her abundantly in the form of Telana , who is the spitting image of

As a customer you can be sure that Estelle knows everything about the area . She was born in Welkom and attended Merriespruit Primary School and Hentie Cilliers High School . She will go all out for you - in the same way as the excellent athlete she used to be . She obtained Free State colours in the 400 m and 800 m events and participated in various SA championships . She is an avid jogger and she enjoys Curves and action sports . Estelle is also curious , she learns quickly and she is a go-getter , who likes climbing the career ladder . She describes herself as a team player and she does not like to be singled out .
Her philosophy about life is that one is merely a steward of everything - even your work and your salary are not yours - you are only a steward thereof .”
Estelle Hattingh is the relationship manager in Welkom and has been working for this agricultural giant for the past 18 years .
