On 18 July, Nelson Mandela
Day, Senwes and Hinterland staff
travelled to Kanana Township outside
Klerksdorp to make a small difference
in the lives of 20 pre-school children
at the Lebohang preschool. Staff raised
over R25 000 in personal donations
and sponsorships to provide the kids
with essentials, such as plates, cups,
toiletries, cleaning equipment and
materials. However, the main purpose
of the day was to repair and paint the
preschool-shack in which the kids
attend their classes. While some of
the staff kept busy with repairs and
painting, others took turns to keep the
kids occupied with fun and games.
