Nataša Strabić modes of expedition , including cycling and canoeing . He also co-founded the inaugural Alpine skiing team . Simon ’ s quiet ambition to push boundaries and open new doors has left students much the richer .
Simon made a very supportive and proactive Chair of the SCR and he will be missed by many . Warminster School is the fortunate recipient of a very committed and passionate teacher and we wish Simon all the very best in his new roles as Head of Psychology and IB Co-ordinator .

JIN SEOK LEE
A great schoolmaster ’ s influence should expand well beyond the classroom , and this is the legacy that Jin will leave after four years at Sevenoaks . Since arriving here in September 2017 , there are few aspects of school life to which Jin hasn ’ t contributed . A stalwart of knowledge and excellence in the Biology department , he has also taught Chemistry and Theory of Knowledge , led extension for Sixth Form students and organised the Biology Olympiad .
Outside of the classroom he has coached tennis , instructed in CCF , led pupils on their Duke of Edinburgh ’ s Award , attended trips to Ghana and Mexico , been a Sixth Form Tutor and a loyal member of School House . Jin ’ s contributions to the extracurricular world at Sevenoaks have been significant and wide-ranging , but it is in the classroom where his energy and extensive subject knowledge combine to the most enchanting effect . Jin delivers lessons that teach pupils to think critically , openly and independently . He both models and fosters academic rigour , but it is shot through with kindness and humility . His pupils are fortunate to have been taught by him .
His leaving is a huge loss to Sevenoaks , but we wish Jin the best of luck in his next chapter , as he pursues a PhD in Cancer Immunology at Cambridge University .

DAVID ROCHE
Dave Roche joined us in September 2017 and has been a fantastic member of the Physics department . He quickly became known for decorating his lab windows with equations written in liquid chalk , as well as for his range of bright and stylish attire . One lasting memory from a Lower Sixth parents ’ evening , was a father and son walking into the room and loudly commenting , ‘ That ’ s a very brave shirt and tie combination !’, much to the amusement of the other staff present . During his time here , David has developed the Engineering Society into a thriving , student-led group and it is not uncommon to see helicopters and cable cars traversing the building on a Wednesday lunchtime ! His evening duties as a tutor in the IC have been hugely appreciated by students and staff alike . We wish him , Jordan and Winston ( his puppy ) all the best as they embark upon their next chapter in Oxford .

You can tell Nat ’ s students a mile off . They ’ re the ones who have names for their calculators , and sleep with them under their pillows . They ’ re the ones who are careful not to make algebraic slips , because every time you make a mistake a bunny dies . They ’ re the ones also who love Nat ’ s lessons , love the happy atmosphere she generates , and are grateful for the dedication and care that she brings to her job . We love her in the department , she always has something interesting to say , and is just as generous in supporting her friends as she is supporting her students . Knole Academy love her too – she has single-handedly galvanised the students into their best ever performances .
Nat is not without problems . Here is a short list . She has a problem with prizes , as she does not like to choose between her students ( or ‘ bunnies ’). She has a problem with people who make up for in confidence and ambition what they lack in talent and ability . She has a problem with sunlight – she
