SEVENOAKS FAMILY OF SCHOOLS
I am delighted that Sevenoaks School and Solefield School have come together to form the Sevenoaks Family of Schools, from September 2025.
Our exciting new partnership will enrich opportunities for pupils in our community and ensure confidence and choice in independent education for local families. Together we offer a world-class independent education in the Sevenoaks area for children from age three through to 18.
Sevenoaks School and Solefield School are neighbours, and our close links and long-standing relationship make this a natural partnership. Our shared values, outstanding pastoral care and commitment to academic excellence will ensure ongoing educational innovation and enable the future development of our schools alongside each other.
The Sevenoaks Family of Schools aims to create an environment where every child can flourish, both academically and personally. We will continue to foster a love of learning, academic excellence and development of character, while embracing the future of education with innovation and flexibility.
We look forward to embarking on this exciting new chapter together to enhance the educational opportunities available for our children, providing them with a rich pathway to success.
It was a particular pleasure for me to speak at the Solefield Speech Day this summer, and to present the prizes. I look forward to welcoming Solefield staff and pupils to Sevenoaks in the next academic year.
Jesse Elzinga
Sevenoaks and Solefield have been neighbours for over 75 years. Jesse and I both took over as Heads at the same time, and since then we have been working together more and more closely. The schools have shared values; both have a commitment to excellence, pastorally and academically, and we know that we can develop our schools together.
Collaboration between our schools means a blending of the best practices from each institution. This includes sharing expertise in areas such as teaching, pastoral care and facilities, to create a richer, more diverse learning environment for students.
Together, we will continue to uphold the values that have defined our schools – academic rigour, character development and a commitment to nurturing the individual needs of every child.
