BOYS
This year had a grand variety of hockey, going from playing mixed hockey fixtures in the Michaelmas term to a great season of boys’ indoor hockey, and back again to classic competitive field games in Lent. The most memorable experience was heading to regionals with a team where most of us had never even played the indoor format a month before. But under the inspiring leadership of William and Moritz heading the operation, we learned from each other, backed each other and got far further than we could have imagined. The Lent season also saw personal improvement for many players on the field, off the back of hard work and goal-scoring opportunities. The last match in March set the stage for a competitive and goal-driven return next year.

GIRLS
If I had to sum up this year’ s hockey season in one word, it would be drive. It’ s been a season full of energy, boldness and determination. We’ ve had many memorable moments, but one that stands out for me was the start of our match against Epsom. We came out with real intensity, pressing hard and dominating the pitch. It was incredible how we worked together; everything just clicked. Every move applied pressure, and we defended with purpose. Even though we didn’ t win that match, it proved what we’ re capable of when we play as a united team. The competition was high, but so was our energy, and we walked off the pitch with our heads held high.
What’ s made this season truly special is how much we’ ve grown, not just in skill, but in resilience and trust. The sense of support and unity between us was clear. We’ re heading into the next season not just as better players, but as a stronger team. I believe we can achieve great things!
