Dr Mike Allen ( OS 2010 ) was selected as the Lead Matchday Doctor for Bath Rugby for the 2023-24 season . Mike is also an NHS Sport and Exercise Medicine Registrar , and Director at T-Cup , which promotes wellbeing in the workplace .
John Andrews ( OS 1969 ) co-hosted the Princess Royal on a visit to Norway in May in his role as co-founder of the Anglo-Norwegian Resistance Commemoration Project . Princess Anne is patron of the project , which was founded to commemorate the exceptional wartime cooperation between the Intelligence Services and Special Forces of Norway and the UK .
BBC Radio 4 ’ s Reith lecturer was Ben Ansell ( OS 1995 ), Professor of Comparative Democratic Institutions at Nuffield College , University of Oxford , and award-winning author . His four lectures , entitled ‘ Our Democratic Future ’, considered how to build robust political systems for the wide-ranging challenges of the 21st century .
Ben Dawkins ( OS 2023 ) was selected to play for the England U19 cricket team against Sri Lanka .
Kim Jordan ( OS 2004 ) was named one of House & Garden ’ s 25 Rising Stars , an accolade which celebrates the exceptional talent of people who are making waves in the design industry . Kim is a cabinet maker and specialist in straw marquetry .
Oliver Barratt ( OS 1981 ) unveiled his new sculpture , Drawing Water , in Guangzhou , China , commissioned as the centrepiece of a new residential development on the banks of the Pearl River .
Richard Broyd OBE ( OS 1966 ) was awarded a CBE for services to heritage and conservation in the King ’ s New Year Honours . He founded Historic House Hotels in 1979 and in 2008 he donated the company and its assets to the National Trust , the charity ’ s largest single gift since The Second World War .
Helena Kiggell ( OS 2023 ) and her team won the national curling championships . They will represent England at the World Junior B ( U21 ) Championships in Lohja , Finland , in December 2024 .
Professor Andrew Kingsnorth ( OS 1959 ) received the International Surgical Volunteerism Award at the 2023 American College of Surgeons / Pfizer Surgical Volunteerism and Humanitarian Awards . This was in recognition of 20 years of humanitarian surgery in remote communities around the world . Andrew is a founding member of the charitable organisation Operation Hernia , and Director of Hernia International .
Sir Tim Laurence ( OS 1972 ) has been appointed Club President of Kent Cricket for 2025 .
David Livingstone ( OS 1982 ), founder of Calamity Films , is Executive Producer for a fifth series of the award-winning comedy Brassic .
