GIRLS ’ 1ST XI
Hockey at Sevenoaks has been one of my favourite experiences . Being a part of such a fun-loving , yet high-level team has been so beneficial to me , and this perfect balance has helped us all with both our hockey endeavours and getting through the academic rigours of the Upper Sixth .
This past season has been incredible ; some of my best memories were winning the national finals at Lee Valley , and reaching the finals of the indoor nationals with such a positive , exciting team .
I am so proud of our team this season ; we have grown so much , and aside from winning almost everything , I am most proud of how supportive everyone has been of each other . Through this we have created an environment which has allowed everyone to flourish . Mrs Nicholson has really driven our amazing season and continues to encourage us all , while making it fun . Hockey has been such a central part of my journey at Sevenoaks and the team should be extremely excited for what ’ s to come next season !

BOYS ’ 1ST XI
Following last year ’ s unbeaten season , we found ourselves facing some tougher opponents this time round and we certainly managed to rise to the challenge . We started the season strong , beating the Tonbridge 2nd XI with a 4-0 win , where some excellent hockey was played with multiple people on the scoresheet .
We also entered the Frank Mason tournament and very much enjoyed progressing to the quarter-final , which was a brilliant achievement for us as one of the less experienced teams . With some mixed results in the mid-season due to injuries and exam disruption , we were back in full form in time for the final two games of the season .
With a convincing return-fixture win over Lingfield after losing to them earlier in the season , confidence was running high entering the final match against King ’ s Canterbury . As with any school hockey , the game did not fail to disappoint , we quickly went 1-0 down , but were presently gifted with some unique defending from the opposition under our pressure . The situation resulted in some clinical and equally unique goal scoring ; we found ourselves 3-1 at the end of our final match , having played some very enjoyable hockey along the way .
