Set design was another of Brecht ’ s techniques Mr Henry used . Minimal set remained on stage , yet multiple props , including wooden crates , were manipulated to create new levels and were even used to divide up the stage into a court with a jury stand and spectator seating . One element I especially liked about the set design was the audience sitting at small tables of two or three , as if to imitate being at a ‘ dinner and a show ’, which made the viewing experience feel more casual . As well as this , we were continuously addressed by a narrator , played by Krish Misra , which caused a break in the fourth wall and reminded the audience that they were watching a play .
Overall , this was a brilliant production , which made striking use of several of Brecht ’ s well-known theatrical techniques .
