OLD SENNOCKIANS GOLF SOCIETY ( OSGS )
The club ’ s first society visit of the year was in April at Sweetwoods , Edenbridge . In June , a friendly against Old Alleynians resulted , to my great surprise , in a 4-1 win to OS . The OAs are a much larger operation than us and they have far better golfers to call upon , so we did well ! The winning OS team were Tim Sheppard ( OS 1959 ), Nigel Henson ( OS 1969 ), Gary Skivington ( OS 1969 ), Mike Lynch , Adam Gilbert , Mike Hirst and Ian Topp ( all OS 1970 ), Simon Turley ( OS 1971 ), Neil Petch-Smith ( OS 1983 ), new boys Elliott Webster ( OS 1995 ) and Peter Croft-Baker ( OS 2004 ) and Sevenoaks teacher Paul Eversfield .
This year ’ s fixture list looked well balanced on a good variety of courses . Despite best-laid plans , a series of unfortunate events – including some very extreme weather – meant we had to cancel our days at Knole and Crowborough . We are looking forward to completing the season at Hever in September and Piltdown in October .
There is no annual subscription to be a society member ; the object of OS golf days is fun , but we do give out some prizes ( usually wine ) for achievements such as nearest the pin and longest drive . New members will always receive a warm welcome .

OLD SENNOCKIANS FOOTBALL CLUB ( OSFC )
The OSFC has played in Division Two of the Arthurian league for three years running , after promotion in the 2018-19 season . We ended this season just one win away from further promotion , with a notable hardfought win against division winners Old Johnians , showing we have the potential to kick on to Division One . Big congratulations to our OSFC award winners : Player of the Season Ben Bezant ( OS 2013 ); Clubman Guy Parfitt ( OS 2015 ); Golden Boot Cyrus White ( OS 2016 ); and the Mike Dickman Award for Alex Lenhart ( OS 2017 ).
In the 2021-22 season around 30 OS played for the club , from recent leavers who are still at university to those from the early 2000s . The team plays on a Saturday morning with home matches at Sevenoaks School . The league is a great standard with a good social afterwards , and an excellent way to keep in touch with friends and the school !
