CCF ANNUAL REVIEW
The CCF contingent remains as strong as ever – oversubscribed with cadets while 18 excellent officers run the many and varied activities .
For the first time this year we ran a military skills camp over the summer to train an Army team up for the Lent competition , in which they performed fantastically . Junior Cadet Lara Foulsham took part in a leg of the Northern Lights RN sailing expedition , Cpl Betrys Galloni attended the National Air Cadet Leadership Course , and she and Cpl Ethan Dueck attended the National Air and Space Camp . This year ’ s intersection competitions resulted in a win for the Army section in the Big Christmas Quiz , and the RAF section won both It ’ s a Knockout in March , and the Gun Run on Founder ’ s Day .
Our Senior Cadet prizewinners were Army : C / Sgt Thalia Pettersson , RN : WO Tom Edwards , and RAF : F / Sgt Ferdinand Beier . Among the staff , sadly we say farewell to Lt Mungo Walls after an all-too-brief four years of exceptional enthusiasm and energy .

ROYAL NAVY
The Royal Navy section continues to experience a wide variety of activities alongside regular Thursday afternoon sailing sessions at Bough Beech . The October Field Day enabled cadets to visit Rye Watersports , where they had a great time learning to stand-up paddleboard , windsurf , kayak , and got their first taste of dinghy sailing . In June we made our much-anticipated return to the Solent on yachts and motorboats to develop our navigation and seamanship skills . We would like to thank WO Tom Edwards , who has been an excellent head of section this year , as he moves on to university .
