THE SEVENOAKS SCHOOL FOUNDATION
over the past ten years – had three equally different children at the school ( my youngest daughter left this summer ), and each of them has benefited immeasurably from – and generally enjoyed – their experience . They all left well equipped for the next stage in their lives , thanks in large part to the breadth of the International Baccalaureate .
It has been a great honour and pleasure to be so closely involved in the advancement of this exceptional school . I would particularly like to offer my gratitude to my fellow Trustees for their service and to the many parents , Old Sennockians , staff and friends who have so generously supported the Campaign for Sevenoaks School . Together we have made , and continue to make , a difference for students today and generations to come .
The Sevenoaks School Foundation was established in 2004 to support the future development of the school . Since its establishment the Foundation has funded more than £ 75m in new buildings including The Sennocke Centre , The Space performing arts centre , Science and Technology Centre , Sixth Form Global Study Centre and Aisher boarding house . In parallel , the Foundation and the school have worked together to increase bursary provision for young people with academic talent and ambition ; in the last year bursaries totalling £ 1.4m have provided 60 students with a free or assisted place .

What they have had in common , though , is a refreshing openness to new ideas and initiatives . Closer to home , I have –
It has been an exceptional year for the school and I wish to thank Theresa Homewood for her leadership as Acting Head during this unprecedented global health crisis . The arrival of the new Headmaster , Jesse Elzinga , marks an exciting chapter in the school ’ s long history . He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and is keen to continue to increase free and assisted places for academically talented students . I wish him every success as he leads the school towards its 600th anniversary in 2032 . I am delighted , too , that Derick Walker , a former parent and School Governor , succeeds me as Chairman of the Foundation .
