integrity and perseverance , whilst always demanding a high work ethic . They were challenging but rewarding and this was particularly evident when competing . Meets would mostly occur on Saturdays and they proved to be an enjoyable experience in producing a worthy performance against a range of opposition schools .

THE ESAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
The English Schools Championships took place at the end of term . It was great to get back into competing after a strenuous year ; everyone enjoyed going to these events and performing as a team . A group of Year 9s and Year 10s took part in the first round . Everyone took part in two events which went towards a combined total . Our inter boys team finished second , only just behind Dartford Grammar , and the inter girls achieved first overall . Both thrilling results , with many competing for the first time in certain events . It ’ s a shame that there wasn ’ t a second round this year , but we ’ ll come back again next year ready for another great set of results .
