CRICKET
It was an absolute delight to see our pupils playing cricket again in the Summer term . It was their first chance to play competitive fixtures for the school in over a year and they relished every moment . We entered the Kent Cup at U13 , U14 , U15 and U18 age groups and enjoyed some excellent cup runs . The U14s and U18s reached the semi-final while the U15 reached the final , coming runners-up to Tonbridge School .
This season saw seven centuries scored by our pupils , more than any of the current staff can recall in recent years . On the first Saturday of the term , Vikas Kokkiligadda scored two excellent centuries and Nick Chaplin one for the 1st XI . Fred Ivey scored one for the U15A team in the Kent Cup . Harry House scored two and Ben Dawkins scored one in the U14A team ’ s excellent season . Henry Smith also got five wickets for the 1st XI vs Judd .
The girls cricket programme continued to grow with our first B team fixtures at U14 and U15 and some 1st XI fixtures taking place .
