Rugb y We began the year with a highly successful pre- season tour to Australia and South East Asia for our seniors and U16s. Squad morale was high after this trip of a lifetime and the players were committed to hard work and resilience. the region and all of our teams enjoyed the experience of taking part in the National Schools Sevens at Rosslyn Park. Individual achievements include Jonathan Francombe being selected for Saracens U15 EPDG and Tom Day for Saracens U14 PDG. The U16s in particular had a superb season. Under the superb tutelage of Mr Hulston and Mr Lilley, they recorded an unbeaten season until their final game of the term, unfortunately losing out to a dogged Caterham side. This has helped to inspire a fine group of sportsmen, gaining necessary confidence to enter senior rugby next year. A stronger team culture has developed and responsibilities and expectations are adhered to by all involved. We now compete within a league format across all age groups and are looking forward to a short tour. In addition to this, our current crop of budding sportsmen in Years 8 to 10 will be offered the chance to support the British Lions and tour South Africa in 2021. Exciting times lie ahead for Sevenoaks School rugby. The fixture list is developing to allow our teams to complete against some of the best rugby schools in SEVENOAKS SCHOOL 2018-2019 Jamie Cullen 87
