U niversity Entry 2019
There will be 226 university entrants this year
from Sevenoaks School to leading universities
across the world.
Of students going on to study in the UK, ninety-one
per cent took up a place at one of the Russell Group
universities. Of these, 27 Sennockians are taking
up places at Oxford or Cambridge, while over 50
are taking up places at one of the London colleges
including LSE, UCL, KCL and Imperial. Other popular
university destinations were Durham, Exeter, Bristol,
Edinburgh, Manchester and St Andrews. This year
29 students took up places at US or Canadian
universities with seven going to universities within
Europe and Australia.

The Sciences and STEM remain the most popular
subject area, followed by Economics, Business and
Finance; Combined Honours and Liberal Arts; History,
Politics and International Relations; Medicine and
Veterinary Medicine; and Psychology and Sociology.
English continues to attract strong numbers of our
students, as do Law, Geography or Land Economics,
and Modern, Classical and Middle Eastern Languages.
With the competition for the top places remaining
fierce, this is a tremendous record of achievement, and
we wish all our new undergraduates every success.
