Public examination results
Our students and teachers can be very pleased with
our excellent examination results. The Upper Sixth
achieved quite outstanding results – the overall IB
average stands at 39.4, about ten points above the
world average. At 224, this was our largest cohort
yet, and we are very pleased to achieve this level of
success across the group. An impressive 16 students
achieved 45 points.
Year 11 impressed similarly with a mixture of
Sevenoaks School Certificates, International GCSEs
and national GCSEs: 87.3% of entries were graded
at A*/A or equivalent, and 116 students out of 159
achieved nine or more A*/A equivalent.
We do not, on principle, participate in league tables,
but it is worth noting that these results position us
as one of the very top schools, both in the UK and
in the global IB community. These pleasing results
confirm our view that good examination results and
university places follow naturally as a consequence
of our continuing focus on the all-round education
of our students. We congratulate all of our students
on these results.
