Junior F oot ball
Netball has
once again enjoyed
a string of successes
throughout the year.
Major highlights for the
U13As were winning the
IAPS regional Soccer Sixes
tournament at Elstree School
and progressing through to
the national tournament.
Highlights included the U18, U16s and U14 reaching
the county finals day with the U14s winning the
county tournament and the U16s finishing as runners-
up. This resulted in both teams representing Kent at
the regional finals day.
The juniors also maintained fine form, with the
U12A team topping off an unbeaten season by being
crowned county champions. Their winning streak
continued throughout the day with the girls securing
wins at every round, the end result being a fantastic
9-5 win against Walthamstow Hall.
The U15s took part in the International Junior Netball
Festival in Disneyland Paris this Easter. They finished
fifth in the U16 Showdown competition. The tour
consisted of netball matches followed by the fun and
enjoyment of the parks at Disneyland. After starting
the first day running up and down the courts at the
netball centre, the day quickly took a sharp change of
direction with the team joining the rush for the rides.
They continued to juggle the thrills and excitement
between the court and the park, with pleasing success
in the former. The finals day was a time to regroup and
reassess objectives and push for a top place. The girls
gave it everything and drew 18-18 against Reigate
Grammar, pushing them into an extra time situation
in which sadly they were defeated 2-5. Down but not
out, the girls pulled out all the stops in the following
matches, securing convincing wins to place them in
fifth position. The girls gelled as a team and this was
evident both on and off the court.

An outstanding season for all teams
U13A team U13B team
The U13A team ended the season having played 20
games, won 18 and lost only two games, which is an
outstanding achievement. They made it through to
the third round of the Investec ISFA cup, narrowly
losing 4-5 against Whitgift School who have won the
competition for the last five years in a row. The team
also made it to the national finals of the IAPS Soccer
Sixes held at Repton School, where they finished up as
losing semi-finalists. The Under 13Bs also had an excellent season, winning
ten of their 11 matches, losing only to Dulwich Prep
School, Cranbrook in a seven-a-side game. They were
ably led by team captain Gard Sagemo, supported
by vice-captains Freddie Stafford and Louis Hayes.
Gaétan Bauné and Piero Steiner were joint top scorers.
Highlights include winning 3-1 against Yardley Court
and the 4-1 win at the end of the season against
Sevenoaks Town FC under floodlights.
The team was led by inspirational captain Elliot
Webb, who played in every game and captained the
team brilliantly all season. James Davies ended up
as top goal-scorer with a total of 69 goals across all
games and tournaments, but there were a total of
14 different goal-scorers throughout the term. Max
Perman and Vikas Kokkiligadda deserve recognition for
their outstanding contribution. Max played an integral
role in the midfield and all teams need a reliable
goalkeeper and this is exactly what Vikas provided all
season. U13C team
The U13C team played nine games and won five,
scoring 37 goals in the process. The Cs worked very
hard in training and after a couple of losses in the first
half of term, turned things around in the second half
of term. Enthusiastic captain Fin Roberts led the team
well with help from the likes of George Mylod, Freddie
Goodfellow, Albie Burr and Archie Truman.
