Cricket
The cricket season sees two OS games: the annual
match against the 1st XI and the Peter Kino Memorial
game against the school staff team, the Orbillians.
In the second of these games, Jack Hulston (OS 2012)
led the OS to victory against the 1st XI, aided by a
splendid partnership by Nick Brookes (OS 2012) and
Will Wilkin (OS 2008). This is a special game played to
remember our much-loved colleague Peter Kino.

ALUMNI REVIEW
The Old Sennockian cricket team continued their run
of good form with a 14-run victory over the 1st XI at
Solefields. On a very hot day the OS batted first and
scored 142 for 2 in their 20 overs. The school made
early inroads with Nick Bett removing Tom Nickols
lbw and Peter Wright bowling Alfie Marr-Johnson.
These, however, were their only successes as former
captains Cyrus White, 49 not out, and Sam Cox, 55
not out, dominated the bowling with a mix of well-
placed singles and hard-hit boundaries. This was a
challenging target on a slow wicket at Solefields.
Captain Nick Bett, 33, and Rhys Joseph, 29, kept the
school up with the required rate but once dismissed
by Tejas Patel and Jack Hulston, Michael Procter ran
through the lower middle order with 3 for 19. The
match was played in a competitive and respectful
spirit and was enjoyed by a good following of current
and past families.
