About me and my style...

No two photoshoots are ever the same.

I am a mother, wife, friend, sister, the list goes on. These are all of the reasons I started to explore the art of photography. Throughout school I was placed in advanced art and mathematics courses. When the time came to decide on a college major, I chose math. For 10 years I taught high school math, enjoying every second, but never lost my passion for the arts. My entire life I have worked with teenagers and understand what an amazing time this is. Capturing moments that we sometimes take for granted is what I strive for. My goal is to produce a beautiful collection of photographs that last a lifetime. Simple, natural, and timeless are all words I would use to describe my photographs. Natural light is my best friend, and provides the most beautiful element in most of my photographs. In my mind, photography is not something that can be achieved. I know the importance of education, and continue to take classes, read, and practice to this day.

I am what is called a “custom photographer”. This means that no two photo shoots are ever the same. I take the time to get to know my clients, their likes and dislikes, and what they are trying to achieve in their photographs. I book a limited amount of sessions per month. This ensures that my clients get undivided attention and no photo shoot is ever rushed. To me a photograph is art and should create a feeling when viewed. Many of my previous clients have described my works as “happy”, “peaceful”, “timeless”, and “classic”.

My work is continually published in Parent Guide News and I am a proud member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and Magic Hour Foundation (giving free portrait sessions to cancer survivors).
