Retirement ISLAND PARK RETIREMENT COMMUNITY A WARM AND WELCOMING HOME The philosophical framework ‘Zest for Life’ guides service delivery in all areas at Island Park. This philosophy speaks to honoring residents’ choices and providing opportunities to age successfully by focusing on wellness and optimum health for each individual. Located along the Trent River the home was built nine years ago with the wellbeing of its residents in mind.  “One of the things I find very appealing about the building is the location, nestled in the heart of Campbellford in the Trent Hills and looking out to the canal,” said General Manager Jane Crane, “We also have the Rotary walking trail for everyone’s enjoyment,” she added. and often host events that are open to the community to give back,” said Jane. As part of a community stakeholder group, Island Park spearheaded on the development of a Wellness Road map for seniors living in the Trent Hills area. This publication has just had its second printing and continues to be valuable resource guide. The Age Well Network, which meets at the home regularly, recently held its Age Well Fair and the public was invited to meet the organizations and individuals who set up their displays to provide information on the services they offer.
