Corporal James ( Clarence ) Floyd
Pulaski County , nominated by April M . Brown , served in the US Army in the Korean War . Clarence Floyd has faithfully served the Somerset , KY area for many years as a member of the Somerset Housing Authority ’ s Board of Directors as well as on the Somerset City Council . Of special note are his 16-year responsibilities as chaplain for his local American Legion Post , leading funeral services for over 1,300 veterans and his liaison actions on behalf of the local VA medical center and the Somerset Community Based Outpatient Clinic . His advocacy for better VA service for his fellow veterans has changed many lives .
