Brother Rice High School Vol . 63 / No . 2
CHIEFTAIN I
Senior Class President , Blake Marrogy letter to seniors and underclassmen
Who would have thought that we will be one of the smallest classes in Brother Rice history ?. Welcome to the Class of 2024 … Starting our journey as Warriors wearing a mask , being partially online , having dividers blocking us from eating lunch next to each other , following arrows in the hallway , and most importantly not being able to embrace the full Brotherhood experience . Little did we know what our high school journey would turn out to be like . There will never be another time where we all get to create memories with each other like the ones we have over these last four years . It is now time that everything we have experienced together is coming to an end . However , being the class with a lower number of students allowed us to grow into a strong Brotherhood . No matter where our next chapter of life takes us , it cannot be broken . We have all accomplished so much throughout our journey , and I pray that every single one of you takes up on any
challenge that comes your way and prospers it through the RICE pillars of Respect , Integrity , Character , and Excellence . The Class of 2024 had a remarkable journey that will be remembered forever . God Bless all of you , Go Warriors !!!
To the Juniors : Our little brothers , but still close enough in age in which we will always keep it real with you no matter what . You ’ re not that far away from your last couple days at Brother Rice either . The year that
“ There will always be people that walked these halls before you , and there will always be people that will walk through these halls after you .”
everyone says is the “ most important ” and “ feels the longest ” is almost over . Soon you guys will receive the keys to the Brotherhood : leading the student sections , having authority , and simply just being the oldest kids on campus . Remember one thing though , there will always be people that walked these halls before you , and there will always be people that will walk through these halls after you . So before you ’ re out of here , leave your footprint , leave your legacy , strive to be remembered how you want to be . Senior year goes by quickly . Embrace it , enjoy it , and live it up to the fullest .
To the Sophomores : At this point in your journey through Brother Rice you ’ re probably starting to feel comfortable . Next school year , you will no longer be underclassmen . No more people telling you what you can and cannot do , no more people telling you stories of jokes they played on each other . It ’ s your turn . It ’ s time as an upperclassman to lead , to tell your story to your younger brothers around the halls , to be who you couldn ’ t wait to be . At this point , your life starts to get real . You will finally start to really talk about your college journey .
