Industry Sponsored Senior Design Projects
Hybrid VTOL Fixed Wing Aircraft
HARRIS
For three years Harris has sponsored a search and rescue Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL)
unmanned aircraft project capable of flying 50km, loitering, and dropping a payload of water, food,
and medical supplies. Students were challenged to incorporate payload integration, communications,
and hardware in an efficient aerospace structure.
