STAFF WRITER / PHOTOGRAPHER Seeking full-time or part-time reporter / photographer for Dassel-Cokato and sister newspapers. Duties include responsibility for all local coverage – meetings, features, events, etc. plus online reporting and audience-building efforts. Work with other staff members for coverage and writing assignments. Local community knowledge / involvement a huge plus.

Herald Journal is seeking freelance reporters for its three weekly newspapers. Assignments may include feature stories, meeting or event coverage, news stories, copywriting, and more, as directed by the editor. In addition to newspapers, we produce special sections such as Farm Horizons, community guidebooks, and a new senior citizens publication coming later this year.

Strong writing skills, attention to detail, the ability to take digital photos, and reliable transportation are required. Assignments can often be arranged to fit your schedule.
