If you’ve never had a professional photo session before, you may not know what to expect
during your session…and that’s completely okay!! Most of my clients haven’t been
photographed professionally!! That being said, I’ve put together a list of things that you can
expect at your session to ease any nervousness you might have & to answer a few questions!
3 different outfits!!
For your session you can have up to 3 different outfits! Some of my seniors opt to wear a team
uniform or attire from their favorite activity! You don’t have to do this, I just want you to know it
is an option!! Also, because we’re usually in open fields and out in nature, there typically aren’t
too many places to change! Most of my clients change in their car, so keep that in mind
when choosing your outfits! Speaking of changing- be sure to wear neutral undergarments so
that there isn’t a chance of anything peeking through in your photos!
Be prepared for lots of smiling and laughing!!
My goal is to capture JOY and your personality in all of your photos! So, while we may take a
few shots with your ‘model face’, get ready for lots of smiling and laughing!! (And don’t
worry…I’ll be laughing right along with you!!)
“Strike a pose!”
Just kidding!!! I promise I won’t say that!! ;) Sometimes when I mention posing, my clients get
nervous!! Don’t worry…the poses I use will look totally natural (even if they don’t feel super
natural at the time!) and you’ll be very happy with your images! It’s my job to make you look
(and feel!) natural and relaxed, and the poses will do just that!

Hey, y’all!! I’m Ashley, a natural light , milestone photographer in Roanoke, Salem, and the
New River Valley! When I was 12 years old my family moved to Salem, and I fell in love with
the mountains!! I married my high school sweetheart, and we’ve settled in this little mountain
town!! When I’m not behind the camera you’ll find me planning a weekend getaway (one
of my favorite things to do!) with a cup of coffee in hand, working on a DIY house project,
reading a good book, or spending time with my sweet family & friends! We recently added
a sweet furry addition to our family, little miss Ellie Mae! She has stolen our hearts, and we
