AWARENESS
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
National breast cancer support organizations do phenomenal work but it’s
important to support local organizations as well. In the Detroit area, Barbara
Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute offers such dedicated and loving support to
cancer patients and their families. My family has first-hand experience with the
Institute, so I can attest to the quality of care that they provide.
At this time of year, it’s nice to buy all of the pink products in stores and online
but don’t forget your local organizations. You can help them to make a world
of difference in a family’s life — when they need it most.
