Get to Know Stefan Antonijevic,
Central Defender #5 for the Tampa Bay Rowdies
The Seminole Hard Rock Tampa is proud to be the jersey front sponsor
for the Tampa Ray Rowdies for the second year in a row. In support of
our collaboration with them, each month we will be spotlighting one
of their rock star players. This month, get to know Stefan Antonijevic,
central defender and #5 for the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
How long have you been playing soccer?
I have been playing my entire life. When I was little my father placed
a miniature soccer ball in my crib which contributed to my admiration
and motivation to play. As soon as I was able to walk and run, I took up
the sport.
How do you like living in Tampa Bay?
I really enjoy it. I grew up in Chicago so I am used to a large metropolitan city. Tampa Bay has a lot to offer both in athletics and the community. It has really been growing on me.
As you know, we’re huge Rowdies. We even sponsor the jerseys you
guys rock. Which one if your favorite style?
I love wearing our home jersey because it adds flavor to our uniforms.
It has stripes and the green and the gold, which in my opinion makes
it unique to Tampa Bay soccer. We also stand out wearing this jersey!
