Pinktober Concert Series Kickoff with
EDEN SHIREEN
The stars were shining “Pink” at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa last month for
PINKTOBER®, a series of events held annually at the casino to raise money for breast
cancer awareness and research. The casino kicked off their month-long fundraising
efforts on Friday, October 2nd with a PINKTOBER® Concert Series at the Hard Rock
Cafe featuring Tampa Bay Acoustic Music Festival headliner Eden Shireen.
Eden Shireen kicked off the fundraising efforts as she serenaded the crowd with
songs from her new album Fraction of Time as well as crowd favorites “Feeling
of Falling” and “Tangled Heartstrings”. Eden captured our hearts when she was
discovered during the casino’s Tampa Bay Acoustic Music Festival this past June. Since
then, she has graced the Hard Rock Cafe stage several times, placed third in the Wild
94.1 Tampa Bay Talent Search and has played shows around the state.
Eden finished her set by autographing a “pinktacular” electric guitar for auction,
making one lucky fan very happy and raising $200 that will directly benefit the
Making Strides Foundation.
Pinktober Concert Series Continues To Shine with
Angela Rodriguez
Hard Rock Cafe Tampa was glowing “Pink” as the PINKTOBER® Concert Series
continued Friday, October 9th featuring local singing sensation Angela Rodriguez.
This week’s featured singer, 16 year old Seminole High School student dazzled the
“Pinktacular” crowd, with a varied mix of cover songs including “House of the Rising
Sun” by The Animals, “Free Falling” by Tom Petty, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” by Poison,
“Fifteen” by Taylor Swift and “Dear Future Husband” by Meghan Trainor. Angela has
been singing since age 8 but only recently picked up the piano and guitar. In fact, the
concert series was the first time she played guitar for an audience! We would have
never known as she rocked that PINKTOBER® stage.
Angela completed the concert by autographing this stunning PINK electric guitar for
auction, making one lucky fan very happy and raising $300 that will directly benefit
the Making Strides Foundation.
