SINOPSE / SYNOPSIS
1986. Na sala de espera de uma clínica de
abortos, a recepcionista, uma paciente e uma
acompanhante aguardam a passagem do
cometa Halley, enquanto a médica enfrenta
dificuldades com um dos procedimentos.
1986. In the waiting room of a clandestine
abortion clinic, the receptionist, a patient and
an escort await the passage of Halley's Comet,
while the physician is experiencing difficulties
with one of the procedures.
BIOGRAFIA / BIOGRAPHY
É roteirista, diretora, montadora e consultora
de roteiro. Dirigiu diversos curtas, como
O duplo (menção especial, Semana da
Crítica, Cannes 2012), e o longa Sinfonia da
necrópole (FIPRESCI, Mar Del Plata 2014).
Juliana dirigiu com Marco Dutra os curtas
O lençol branco e Um ramo, dentre outros, e
os longas Trabalhar cansa (mostra Um Certo
Olhar, Cannes 2011) e As boas maneiras
(Prêmio especial do júri - Locarno 2017).

She is a Brazilian writer, director, editor and
script advisor. She directed many short films,
including O duplo (Special Mention, Cannes
Critics’ Week 2012), and the feature film
Sinfonia da necrópole (FIPRESCI Award, Mar
Del Plata 2014). Juliana directed, with Marco
Dutra, the short films O lençol branco and Um
ramo (Best Short – Cannes Critics’ Week 2007),
among others, and the features Trabalhar cansa
(Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2011) and As boas
maneiras (Special Jury Prize, Locarno 2017).
