SINOPSE / SYNOPSIS
No dia 31 de agosto de 2017, o site www.aarea.
co, apresentou Lígia, trabalho inédito de Nuno
Ramos. No vídeo, Nuno se apropria do Jornal
Nacional e trabalha por dentro a edição que
anunciou o impeachment da presidenta Dilma
Rousseff, exatamente um ano antes. O artista
faz com que os apresentadores do jornal
“cantem” a música “Lígia”, de Tom Jobim. A
colagem audiovisual foi construída a partir das
edições do Jornal relativas aos dias 16/3/2016
e 31/8/16. O vídeo foi ao ar diariamente
ao longo do mês de setembro, coincidindo
exatamente com o horário de transmissão
do Jornal Nacional, respeitando inclusive os
intervalos comerciais.
On August 31st, 2017, on its seventh edition,
the website www.aarea.co presented Lígia, a
new work by Nuno Ramos. Through video, Nuno
takes appropriation of Jornal Nacional, the main
TV news show in Brazil, working from within
the edition that announced the impeachment of
then president elect Dilma Rousseff, one exact
year ago. The artist makes the anchors sing the
song “Lígia,” authored by Tom Jobim. The video
will be aired daily over the month of September,
coinciding precisely with the broadcast time
of Jornal Nacional, respecting even its
commercial breaks.
BIOGRAFIA / BIOGRAPHY
Nasceu em 1960, em São Paulo, onde vive
e trabalha. Formou-se em filosofia pela
Universidade de São Paulo em 1982. Artista
visual e escritor, participou de diversas
exposições individuais e coletivas, incluindo
a Bienal de Veneza de 1995 e a 29ª Bienal
Internacional de São Paulo em 2010.
Podemos encontrar ainda em sua produção
gravuras, pinturas, fotografias, instalações,
vídeos e canções.

Born in 1960 in São Paulo, where he lives and
works. He graduated in hilosophy from the
Universidade de São Paulo in 1982. A visual
artist and writer, he participated in several
individual and collective exhibitions, including
the Venice Biennial 1995 and the 29th São
Paulo International Biennial in 2010. We can
find among his works: engravings, paintings,
photographs, installations, videos and songs.
