SINOPSE / SYNOPSIS
Utilizando uma linguagem poética, Travessia
parte da busca pela memória fotográfica das
famílias negras e assume uma postura crítica
e afirmativa diante da quase ausência e da
estigmatização da representação do negro.
With a poetic language, Travessia searches for
the photographic memory of black families. The
film adopts a critical stand in the face of the
stigmatization and the near absence regarding
the portray of black people.
BIOGRAFIA / BIOGRAPHY
É mulher, negra e baiana. Fotógrafa e
formada em cinema pela Escola de Cinema
Darcy Ribeiro e pelo Centro Afrocarioca de
Cinema - Zózimo Bulbul. Formou-se na
Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage em
2015, mesmo ano em que foi selecionada
para a residência artística
Afrontrancendence, no Red Bull Station em
São Paulo. Dirigiu a videodança Sentinela,
selecionada para o Festival Dança em Foco
2017. É fundadora do cineclube Capa Preta,
com foco no protagonismo da mulher negra
no cinema.

She is a woman, she is black and she comes
from Bahia. She is a director of photography
and majored on film at Escola de Cinema Darcy
Ribeiro and Centro Afrocarioca de Cinema -
Zózimo Bulbul. She also completed her studies
at Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage in
2015. In the same year, she was selected for
the artistic residence Afrontrancendence,
hosted by Red Bull Station in São Paulo. She
directed the video-dance Sentinela, selected
for the Festival Dança em Foco 2017. She is
also a founder on Capa Preta film club, which
is focused on black women protagonism in
cinema.
