Um jovem da periferia recita poesia no meio
de um tiroteio no Complexo do Alemão, onde
o estado policial mata os negros e os pobres
com a freqüência da guerra.
A young man from the periphery recites poetry
in the midst of a community shooting, where
the police state kills blacks and the poor with
war frequency.

inúmeras matérias sobre as ocupações nas
escolas do Rio de Janeiro, manifestações
desde as Jornadas de Junho e favelas do Rio
de Janeiro.

Born in 1982 in Maceió but currently living in
Recife. As a contemporary artist, uses video,
photography and installation to portrait the
collective memory and history, using strategies
that blend fiction and reality. The video O
levante (2013) was part of MoMA's exhibition
Unfinished Conversations: New Works from
the Collection (2017), with public showings of
all the director's previous audiovisual works on
Moma Films.
