Obscure signs portend a looming,
indecipherable slump. An oracular decoding
of the landscape. Made in collaboration with
composer Olivia Block, and by invitation of the
Chicago Film Archives, utilizing solely films
from their collection.

Artista e cineasta de Chicago interessada
em paisagens e sistemas. Já exibiu
internacionalmente em locais como o MoMA
NY, Centro Pompidou, Museu Hammer, União
Mercer, Witte de With, Whitney Bienal e
festivais como Sundance, Viennale, CPH:DOX,
Oberhausen, Ann Arbor, Full Frame, Roterdã
e Berlim. Mora em Chicago, onde leciona na
Universidade de Illinois.

She is a Chicago-based artist and filmmaker
interested in landscapes and systems. She has
exhibited internationally at venues including
MoMA NY, Centre Pompidou, Hammer
Museum, Mercer Union, Witte de With, the
Whitney Biennial and festivals including
Sundance, Viennale, CPH/DOX, Oberhausen,
Ann Arbor, Full Frame, Rotterdam and Berlinale.
She lives in Chicago where she teaches at the
University of Illinois.
