In orthographic and oblique projection, t heprojectors
remain parallel to each other. Therefore, theprojected
size of an element remains the same regardless of its
distance from the pictureplane. In linear perspective,
however, the converging pro
jectors or sightlines alter
t heapparent size of aline or plane accordingto its
distance from the picture plane.

objects, making them appear smaller than identical
