HOME SCHOOL COMMUNICATION
SELC staff intends to make this program year an enjoyable one for both children and families. Regular communication between the program staff and the family is essential to a strong partnership. Staff meet with the parents at SELC and for Head Start Students at home. Phone calls are made to give information, remind families of meetings, or invite families to activities. Newsletters, calendars, memos, and other information about program activities and community events are shared via a weekly ParentSquare newsletter.
In case of an emergency, families will be notified immediately. It is mandatory that the office has up-to-date home, work, and emergency telephone numbers always. Please notify the office of any changes in any of these numbers. Every family must have two emergency numbers.( Emergency contacts could be relatives, neighbors, friends, etc.)
