Godsey waved off the damage as not being the important part of the story , focusing more on the driver of the other vehicle .
“ I ’ m glad they ran in ( the way they did ), and it didn ’ t hurt them , so that was the main thing ,” he said .
The wreck pushed in the back and side of the Chevy , and Godsey said after repairs he had the entire car repainted .
“ The first time , I just had done the back quarters and the top , the white part of the car . Then after it was wrecked , I had to redo the whole car . I changed the colors on it from Dust Rose and Indian Ivory , and I changed

“ Back then you could have ordered it with seat belts , but most people didn ’ t do it . It wasn ’ t high priority back then like they are now .”
