The Magnolia welcomes the community to celebrate

The drinks flowed freely and the desserts were scrumptious at an event this fall hosted by Leslie and Ron Hart to introduce the community their new business , The Magnolia .
The Magnolia is an event venue which plans to cater to all types of folks around the Lake Cumberland area . Inviting some of Somerset ’ s most notable residents to an introductory reception September 24 , the Harts wanted to open their business with a splash and give everyone they could a chance to listen to their sound system and enjoy the atmosphere .
Leslie and Ron Hart have been business owners in Pulaski County for more than 30 years .
“ We ’ ve enjoyed the community greatly . We ’ ve had several businesses over the years ,” said Leslie Hart .
Located in a commercial complex off of Parkers Mill Road , the Magnolia shares a building with other businesses owned by the Harts .
“ We bought this building a couple years ago and we had 4,000 square feet of open space ,” said Leslie . “ We thought ‘ what in the world are we going to do with this part ?’ The office on the other side is for for spirit fund-raising , the spirt card people . We actually produce those all over Eastern Kentucky .”
As for the name , it ’ s very personal to Leslie .
“ I ’ ve always loved magnolias ,” said Leslie . “ I carried magnolias in my wedding . We ’ ve had a magnolia tree in just about every house we ’ ve ever lived in . As you can see , I ’ ve cut all these magnolias in the trees and put them on the tables . And just the facade at the front of the building , just seemed like it fit . Everybody loves the name .”
On top of the facade and the table arrangements , local artist Dani Ford had also painted a beautiful mural of a
