have spoken to Celebration Lighting , who is an invaluable partner on this project . We added approximately ( a 50 percent increase in scenes ) from last year and Jreg , with Celebration Lighting , is improving some of the existing scenes with additional backlighting and ground lighting .”
The show starts on November 18 and will run through December 31 . These dates will be permanent going forward .
Also , Santa Claus will be part of the Christmas Island experience , with an assist from his friend here in Pulaski County , John Alexander . He will be there from opening night through December 23 .
“ Obviously , Santa will be very busy Christmas Eve and need a much deserved break after Christmas ,” said Pyles .
And on December 10 , the “ Jingle Bell Run ,” a holiday-themed 5K , will take place on the island at 10 p . m ., running through the Christmas lights .
