Katrina Price and her husband Eddie have been in business together since late 1996 with their business Closet Savers Inc . With this business , they install racks and shelves and anything else the client may need to get a handle on a messy closet .
However , 18 years ago , the couple expanded into every room of the house . Now also operating a company called Blindz & More , the pair specializes in plantation shutters and has served clients far and wide .
The Prices started their business after seeing a need in the community . They provide custom shades to fit their clients ’ needs and help provide homes with as much or as little natural light as necessary .
The couple can be seen traveling all over Kentucky . They even once did a job all the way in North Carolina . However they mainly go to surrounding areas such as Wayne County and Russell County . Anywhere they can fit a window , they ’ ll drive and give you a consultation .
The couple deals with Graber and gets all their blinds from them . They boast a platinum status and make sure to get the best deals for their clients .
The Prices do windows for lots of other businesses as well . One of their primary clients is Baptist Health , where they service “ all the windows in Corbin .” Mrs . Price recalled that being difficult during COVID .
“ We go in the ICU and replace the shudders sometimes when the patient ’ s in there . That ’ s so sad ,” said Mrs . Price .
On the other hand , they do often get to go into the NICU and Postpartum where they get to see babies , which is cheerier .
One type of blinds they provide is the shades that open and close with a remote or an app on the client ’ s phone . The technology that goes into those is very interesting to work with .
The hardest job the pair ever did was an old two-story Victorian-style house that was built in the 1700s . Though the house was gorgeous , the job was stressful . They had to ensure their installation was just right as not to damage the house .
As far as difficult clients , they say they haven ’ t had to deal with too many . Though Mrs . Price did mention she once had to put plantation shutters in an attic , which is an odd place for those types of windows .
And their least favorite job ?
“ Packing the material in ,” said Mrs . Price with a laugh . “ Especially when it ’ s cold and it ’ s raining .”
No matter the job though , said Mrs . Price , it ’ s always worth it .
“ We did a master closet here in Somerset , and the gentleman cried and hugged me twice ,” said Mrs . Price .
After the Prices left , the man they service texted them a video of his wife reacting to the closet with a message saying , “ You brought us both to tears .”
