We get somewhat emotional talking about the people of Somerset because to be honest , that ’ s what really drove the Horse Soldier team to set up their forever home there as well as us to make this our second location for Urban Stillhouse . Mayor Keck saw the vision for this town years ago and saw how we could work together to make Somerset even better and to set up a great future in tourism !”
The dream is to have a few more Urban Stillhouse locations in the future , but Meredith isn ’ t sure what states or cities that they might be in yet . She said she wants to locate in “ like-minded communities ” where the Horse Soldier story and brand will be embraced along with the restaurant . For now , however , Somerset is the focus — and soon , the community will have the chance to toast the arrival of The Urban Stillhouse on the Fountain Square .
“ Listen , there ’ s no place like Kentucky and I suspect this property will take on the personality of the amazing people of Somerset and the vibe of the incredible community y ’ all have !” said Meredith . “ It will be the same quality and dining experience as the flagship location , but with a Somerset flare .
“ We have never left Somerset without feeling full of love and the community is nothing short of incredible in the way they ’ ve embraced us ,” she added . “ Really , we are all about people and culture and Somerset is our people and they are our culture , and we really feel the love .”
