The day they found Watson ’ s concerning new diagnosis , Lakeside Primary Care had one of their family members go to Watson ’ s car to make sure she was ok and asked if she needed him to drive her home .
“ We just want others to think of us as family ,” said Cash . “ If we can ’ t find answers for our patients , we will send them somewhere that can .”
The clinic went beyond caring for Watson ’ s health when they sent the woman flowers on Mother ’ s Day , her without her only daughter due to her passing .
“ No one has ever done anything like that for me ,” said Watson . “ I had the worst day , and I opened my front door and there ( the flowers ) were .”
The clinic offers limited home visits to patients who may be unable to make a trip to their location . This service was something they started offering during the pandemic for critically ill patients .
“ We did this during that time , so these critically ill patients didn ’ t have to get out and get exposed ,” said Cooley .
Lakeside Primary Care is one of the only clinics in the area that continues this limited service .
Waters , who receives care at her home by the clinic ’ s services , said , “ They really do care and are considerate . I really love that they make house visits . I
