They say home is where the heart is . And no month reminds of that more than February . That ’ s because we ’ re reminded of hearts everywhere — and not just because it ’ s Valentine ’ s Day , and there are lots of heart-shaped boxes of candy on store shelves . February is American Heart Month , when we put a focus on cardiovascular health . We here at Southeast
Kentucky Magazine are doing the same . We take a look at the state-of-the-art cardiac rehabilitation facility at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital , which helps heart patients get back on their feet and get moving .
There are also tips on heart health from a local physician and learn about the “ Love Your Heart ” event which features a host of vendors and information about how to keep your ticker in working order .
But this issue isn ’ t just about the heart — it ’ s also about the home .
