Bourbon Brownie Truffles Approximately 40 marble size truffles from a 8x8 pan of brownies
Follow brownie recipe ( can use boxed brownies ) ½ cup bourbon if using a full pan 8x8 pan of brownies ½ cup of confectioners ’ sugar Using brownie recipe for 8x8 pan , bake , and cool brownies . Trim crust off brownies . In large bowl or food processor add brownies and bourbon . Blend until smooth and the consistency is pliable enough to form a ball . If to soft chill for 30 minutes . Using a small scoop measure out a marble size portions rolling them by hand . Repeat for remainder of brownie mixture . Chill in airtight container for 30 minutes . Roll truffles in confectioners ’ sugar just before serving .
Note : try using other liquors for different variations . Grand Marnier , Rumble mint , cherry kirsch . Try rolling them in crushed nuts , chocolate sprinkles , dipped in melted chocolate or white chocolate .
