Doug and Sandi Parkey ’ s new townhome is ultra modern and conveniently located , but still has that rural feel .
Nestled between University Drive and the historic Somerset Country Club golf course exists some of the most unique and ultra-modern condominium townhouses in the Pulaski County area . Local developer Brook Ping has been able to recreate the Colorado ski lodge feel to a series of 3-bedroom and 2-baths , 2400-square foot townhomes located on Caney Fork Road .
With the standard amenities of central air , gas heating , in-unit laundry , and 2.5-car garage parking , these luxurious townhomes are state-of-the art in modern home living .
Doug Parkey and his wife Sandi fell in love with their new townhome when they first laid eyes on it , and quickly made an offer to secure their new home . The Parkeys were looking to downsize from their previous 8,900-square-feet home , and these townhouses were a perfect fit for their current needs .

He kind of liked that look of a ski lodge , which is how he built his house with that kind of same look . He wanted to build these townhomes with that same kind of feel .”
The townhomes also have some industrial and European touches to it as well . Industrial looking wired cables run up the base of the stairwell rails , while many of the cabinets have no visible handles .
“ It has a very European look with the cabinets , and there ’ s no handles on the cabinets ,” Parkey explained . “ There is a lot of granite counter tops . We lock and unlock our keyless doors by the use of our fingers , so it is a very automated home .
“ The back of the house has the outdoor kitchen and outdoor fire pit , which were both very good selling points for us ,” Parkey admitted . “ It is quiet and peaceful on the pack porch ,
