and decided to come back to her hometown and do what she loves at The Harbor where her mother worked twenty years ago .
Squires is enthusiastic about new drink specials coming to The Harbor which will involve souvenir cups and tasty drinks crafted in their two fully stocked bars . One is located indoors and the other is on the Harbor deck which they plan to keep open throughout December keeping it toasty with their heaters .
“ Next season we will have a whole new drink menu and a new drink every month that they can try that isn ’ t on our regular menu ,” said Squires . “ It ’ s going to be the place to bring your friends . The scenery , paired with the food and drinks . The atmosphere here is just fun . It ’ s the place you want to be in the summer . It ’ s definitely the ‘ it ’ place .”
The Harbor wants to be a place for the entire family as well .
“ I think we cater to a little bit of everybody . We have five dining rooms , so if we have live music on the lower deck or like our Cinco de
Mayo party we had this year , then we have four other dining rooms to choose from ,” said Brackett . “ Each one brings a different experience .”
Ping has multiple years in management and brings a heart for the community . All three of her daughters worked at The Harbor in the past and Ping wants to make sure The Harbor is a safe and fun place for the entire family .
“ My daughters have worked here , and this place is special to me ,” she said . “ I love to bring my three young grandchildren here . I want to provide that for our community and give them a great impression as soon as they walk through our doors .”

Sit on the deck and enjoy a Kentucky Mule and the popular grouper fish described by Kurtz as “ flaky goodness ” cooked in about any way you can imagine , or pair your dish of choice with a popular lake tea made with lemonade and southern sweet tea . It is truly a Lake Cumberland culinary experience !
