Where did you meet your pet ?
Our pets have a way of working themselves into our hearts . How often do you hear someone say , “ So-and-so wouldn ’ t allow an indoor pet until they met my dog .” Or , “ I didn ’ t know these types of animals ( cats , reptiles , birds ) had different personalities .”
Getting to know and care for an animal often expands the hearts and minds of their owners . You ’ ll hear statistics from somewhere that say pets can increase the life expectancy of their owners , but they also fill a void that can ’ t be bridged with any material possession .
Sometimes , we actively seek out the perfect pet . Sometimes , a stray wanders into your yard and just simply have one now . Sometimes , life surprises us with a faithful companion when we least expect it .
We wanted to know how our readers “ met ” their pets . How did that special friend enter into their lives . So , we put the question to Facebook , and a gaggle of respondents gave up their time to share their stories . Here are a few of their responses .
